The Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain and Isle of Man on 1 April 2009 and Northern Ireland and Guernsey on 1 April 2010 and we are registered as number 226108.

Gas safety is one of the most important factors in having a safe home and work place. The dangers that surround unsafe gas appliances are deadly serious. Always ask to see your gas engineer’s Gas Safe Register ID card to make sure they are safe and legal.

The Energy Efficiency Recommended logo endorses products and services that are amongst the most efficient available. It covers appliances, light bulbs and fittings, gas and oil boilers, heating controls, hot water cylinders, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation and draught-proofing.

All Gas engineers need to be Part L certified in order to be able to asses and install boilers of the most appropriate, and legal type.

The Water Industry Approved plumber Scheme (WIAPS)

WIAPS is funded by most of the Water Suppliers to administer an approved plumbers scheme for them. In order to become a WIAPS member, a plumber has to show he has been suitably trained as a plumber, that he has adequate knowledge of the Regulations by passing an assessment and that he has sufficient public liability insurance cover.

Founded in 1906, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) is the professional body for the UK plumbing and heating industry.
Membership is made up of individuals from a wide range of backgrounds such as consultants, specifiers, designers, public health engineers, lecturers, trainers, trainees and practitioners.

The CIPHE has a membership of around 12,000 including approximately 260 manufacturers and distributors, which support its work as Industrial Associates.
